Marilyn Paré obtained her Animal health technician diploma (AHT) at Lionel-Groulx College in St-Thérèse in 2007. The same year she became a certified veterinary technician. In the summer of 2006, she worked in a rehabilitation center for wild animals. Where, in close collaboration with the veterinarian, she administered care to the animals in order to be able to release them to the wild as quickly as possible. Marilyn has joined the DMV center emergency team after graduating from College. In October of 2007, Marilyn started to work in the surgical department alternating shifts with emergency. In January of 2008 she became a full time surgical technician; firstly with Dr Dupuis and then with Dr Gatineau. Marilyn has also written 2 articles for the ATSAQ journal (Veterinary technician association of Québec) one of which was on hip dysplasia which was later translated for the Techlife journal.
