Carine Gauthier joined the DMV emergency team in October 2005, and then transferred to the surgery department in May 2006. Since then, she is working closely with Dr. Planté as his technician. She obtained a Bachelor in Zoology from Laurentian University in Sudbury, ON, in May 2003, and then pursued her studies at Seneca College in King City, ON, to become a certified veterinary technician in 2005. While completing her diploma, she worked at the Veterinary Emergency Clinic of York Region in Aurora, ON, as a receptionist/animal caregiver for 2 years. Her passion has always revolved around anesthetic/analgesic protocols for the well-being of surgery patients. Carine actively pursues continuing education in order to obtain her VTS in anesthesia.
